Wet weather moving eastwards on Thursday
North and west, south and east split in conditions continues overall

 Wed Sep 20: Thursday A front extends north to south through the UK on Thursday, edging slowly eastwards. The front has cloud and bursts of rain associated with it, some of them heavy and mainly affecting southern and central areas in the morning, then into northern England and eastern Scotland through the afternoon. Drier weather in the far southeast with broken cloud and milder here. Turning drier in the west of the UK with sunny spells although some rain and showers pushing back into western Ireland later. Highs at 21C in the southeast, 14C to 17C elsewhere.
